Jason grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and High Point, North Carolina. He graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University in 1996, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Speech Communications. He attended Wake Forest University School of Law where he was selected for the Law Review, Moot Court, and National Trial Team.
Upon graduating law school, Jason completed a one-year federal clerkship with the Honorable William L. Osteen in the Middle District of North Carolina. To start his career, Jason practiced civil litigation for a number of years. However, since 2005, Jason has focused his practice exclusively in the field of residential real estate.
“Handling lawsuits and arguing in various courts brought professional and intellectual rewards, however it lacked the personal contact that I desired and the joy of seeing my efforts bring satisfaction and happiness to my clients. Practicing in the field of real estate not only enables me to use my legal training and experience to analyze legal issues and create solutions for them, but it also allows me to have one-on-one contact with my clients as I work with them to purchase their new home. The happiness I see from clients at the closing table makes all my efforts on their behalf worth it.”
Jason has invaluable and experienced staff who assist him and the firm’s clients through each step of the closing process, Misty Lunsford and Staci Berry. They are all committed to being the best at what they do in examining title, working through any issues that arise, preparing necessary documents, and getting the client to the closing table, while at the same time communicating with the clients, realtors and lenders, with whom they work and represent. Their hope is that not only will you have a smooth closing but that you will also have your questions or concerns addressed, whether during the representation or afterwards. Jason encourages and wants clients to contact him directly with any questions that they have.
Jason regularly speaks to realtors and lenders on changes in the real estate industry. He has also spoken at continuing education courses for attorneys on how to handle real estate closings and deal with the pitfalls that occur during the process. Jason spends his spare time boating, playing tennis, and reading Christian theology. He is active at his church where he teaches a youth small group class and volunteers with the church’s ministry to feed and care for the homeless.

- Wake Forest University, BA cum laude, 1996
